MANDATORY MANAGERS

OBLIGATORY PRODUCERS

According to the principle of Extended Producer Responsibility (European Directive 2008/98/EC) as adopted by the national legislation by Law 2939/2001 and Presidential Decree 82/2004, all companies that either produce or import Lubricating Oils and place them on the Greek market are obliged to participate in a Collective Alternative Management System (WLMS) or to establish an Individual Alternative Management System (A.S.E.D.) for the management of Waste Lubricating Oils resulting from the products (Lubricating Oils) they place on the Greek Market.

ENDIALE, as the only Alternative Management System for Waste Lubricating Oils in Greece (collective or individual), contracts with all the companies that sell lubricants in the Greek market.

Those who place lubricants on the Greek Market (mandatory managers), and contract with WLMS. of ENDIALE have the obligation to file a declaration with the quantities of lubricants they placed on the Greek market every six months, and based on these quantities a proportional monetary contribution is made for each debtor, which transfers to the WLMS of ENDIALE its legal obligation to manage the waste resulting from the transported quantities of Lubricating Oils. Finally, with the recent launch of the National Register of Producers ( https://empa.eoan.gr ) by the Hellenic Recycling Organization, all the above-mentioned liable managers must register in the register and declare every year the quantities of Lubricating Oils they placed in the Greek Market.
