recyclers are, according to PD 82/2004, companies that are active in processes that allow the production of base oils, including specifically the separation of impurities, oxidation products and additives contained in these oils.
WLMS currently cooperates with 7 licensed WLO regeneration companies in Greece. All quantities of waste oil collected throughout the country by collectors are delivered to these companies. These facilities must have an operating license, necessary environmental licensing and ISO 14001:2004 or EMAS certification.
In addition, with the operation of the Electronic Waste Register (EWR), WLO utilization facilities must be registered as waste receiving facilities and submit an annual report with the quantities of waste managed.
